Ms. Silver's blogSunday, May 23, 2010May 24, 2010Thank you to everyone that helped make 2009/2010 the best year ever! I can't believe this wonderful year is coming to an end. Congratulations to all my third years for all your hard work. All the best in fourth grade. Welcome to all my new and returning students!I look forward to an even better year in 2010/2011.Supply List for 2010/2011$20.00 check or cash payable to Ms. Silver on or before Back to School Night, July 29 or first day of school, August 4. This money will be used to supply children with all books, supplies, and materials. If you are a returning student, your portfolios and pencil boxes will be recycled. In order for all students to have the same materials in class they will be provided by the teacher. Please do not send or allow your child to bring any extra items other than pencils. We do not use mechanical or decorated materials. The less distractions, the more intent the children are in their daily work.If you would like to send community materials, the following would be appreciated but are not necessary tissues, hand sanitizer, empty, used ink cartridges for recycling, AA batteries, Ticonderoga #2 pencils, Prisma colored pencils. Please contact me if you are available to help make materials. We need to make cursive writing books, writing journals, and many other materials.Thank you for volunteering.Have a great summer!

Friday, April 24, we will be going to Tempe Town Lakes to see Neverending Story. We will need drivers and chaperones. Please let me know if you are available to drive the children and join us for an outing and picnic at the park. I will be collecting $8.00 per person (including adults) when school is back in session. Hope you can join us!

We have a field trip on March 26 to Horse Lover's Park. The school bus will leave at 9:15 A.M. and return after a picnic lunch, about 1:00. I need two or three additional parent chaperones. Please get back to me as soon as possible if you would like to join us.
